Randy Mears
Randy is a second generation general contractor and land developer. After graduation from the University of Florida he eventually joined the family construction business in 1979 holding various positions over the next ten (10) years.
Throughout the 1980’s he spearheaded the design/build and development of Mears Court (an industrial park) 610 & 650 Island Way (two (2) high rise condominium projects) Mears Commerce Center (an industrial/commercial park) and several hundred thousand square feet of industrial/commercial buildings for individual owners.
In 1989 Randy established Ranmar Development, Inc. as a vehicle to do projects on his own. Randy bought and Ranmar Development designed and constructed the 100 acre Lynmar Commerce Park in 1994. Lynmar Commerce Park became an industrial/distribution/office complex.
Randy, also has developed and Ranmar designed and built Bentley Business Center (an industrial park); Oldsmar Town Center (an office/retail/hotel center); Lynmar Business Center (an office/retail center); The Crossings (an office, retail, educational center).
Randy, over the last 25 years, has designed/developed/constructed over two (2) million square feet of industrial, office, retail, (hotel & educational buildings included) product in The Greater Tampa Bay Area. In addition he has developed in excess of 175 acres of land.
Kathy Wheeler
Kathy started her working career at Maas Brothers Department Store quickly moving from sales clerk, to department head then to assistant buyer. From there she went on to manage and operate a small grocery store for several years where she was also the buyer of all stock and originator of new ideas to keep up with the times and market needs.
In 1978 Kathy then joined the family construction business where she was involved in all aspects of the business including office operations, sales, technical services, buying out jobs and project manager for the next thirteen (13) years.
In 1991 Kathy joined Ranmar Development, Inc where she is Executive Vice President in charge of day to day operations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, human resources, all insurance needs and assists in the operations of nine different companies.
Kathy has been involved with the development of several projects. Among them Mears Court; 610 & 650 Island Way; Mears Commerce Center; Lynmar Properties; Oldsmar Town Center; Bentley Business Center and The Crossings at Oldsmar. She has also has worked with individual owners to build several hundred thousand square feet of industrial/commercial buildings.
Jon Sipera
Jon Sipera has been a resident of Pinellas County since 1971. He obtained his Associated of Arts Degree at Florida State University along with his Bachelor of Science Degree in Hotel Restaurant Management at the University of Central Florida.
In 1996, Jon joined Ranmar Development, Inc. and holds the position of Vice President of Administration with the company.
Over the past 18 years, Jon has become skilled in every aspect of development and construction. His job duties include estimating, meeting with clients to collect information to create and sign contracts, acts as project manager, works closely with his civil engineers and architects to draw up permit ready plans, works with bureaucracies to receive all appropriate permits, speaks directly and collates paperwork to receive construction funds for work completed with financial institutes.
Jon has taken part in the development of approximately 150 acres which include Lynmar Commerce Park, Oldsmar Town Center, Bentley Business Center, and Crossings at Oldsmar along with independent parks and parcels for clients. He has built an excess of 1 million square feet of industrial, office, and retail space raging from “build to suit” buildings, warehousing, restaurants, a parking garage, multi-story buildings, day-care centers, office complexes, and residential.
Jon has held a Florida Real Estate License since 1996, is a member of Leadership Pinellas, Upper Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce, Tampa Chamber of Commerce, President of Friends of the Oldsmar Fire Department, and Notary Public.
Melvin Martinovich
Born and raised in West Virginia, Melvin worked as a brick and block mason in the West Virginia, Ohio and Pennsylvania region until 1982.
After moving to Florida in 1982 Melvin’s construction experience expanded to all phases of building construction including site development, utilities, masonry, framing, drywall, and interior finishes trades.
Rising through the ranks from crew member to crew leader to foreman, Melvin became adept at scheduling both employees and subcontractors. He then coordinated and supervised jobs to completion both on time and within budget.
Melvin joined Ranmar Development in 1997 and is Ranmar’s “Vice President of Construction”. As such, he coordinates, supervises and schedules all construction projects.
Melvin has taken part in the development of approximately 150 acres of land which include Lynmar Commerce Park, Oldsmar Town Center, Bentley Business Center, and The Crossing at Oldsmar along with numerous independent buildings and parcels for clients. He has built in excess of 1 million square feet of industrial, office, and retail space ranging from “build to suit” warehousing, restaurants, parking garages, multi-story office and condominium buildings, day-care centers, office complexes, and residential.
Melvin has held a Florida State A General Contractors license since 1999.
